The Charlevoix Area Chamber of Commerce, which serves over 440 members in northern Michigan, is seeking a Chamber President. The position reports to a 9-member Board of Directors, and works closely with community partners, including the City of Charlevoix, the Downtown Development Authority and Main Street Program, and the Charlevoix Convention and Visitors Bureau.

POSITION SUMMARY: 
This position is responsible for overseeing the marketing and communications department, including branding, public relations, social media, advertising and collateral materials, web design and content and budget management. Additionally, this position serves as the primary spokesperson for the organization, ensuring a proactive public relations and communications strategy.
Leadership and Management Activities:
  • Leads the marketing and communications team; supports team member development, including hiring, training, promotion and reviews.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
A. KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, either in-house or with an agency.
  • Established track record in community development and engagement, social media, marketing,
communications, public relations and media relations.
  • Experience in building, mentoring and coaching a team of communications specialists.
  • Extensive writing and editing experience with a variety of print and online communications media.
  • Familiarity with Associated Press journalistic style.

Summary:
The Executive Director of Indiana INTERNnet is responsible for overseeing all operations and business
development for the organization. This includes working with employers, students and the education
community to be the catalyst for the creation, expansion and improvement of experiential learning programs
throughout the state of Indiana.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (% of estimated time/frequency)
 Grow sustainable funding efforts to enhance the entire program including seeking grants, securing
corporate funding and developing new revenue models. Includes producing proposals and reports to
funders (50%)
 Direct and oversee the operations of Indiana INTERNnet program and staff (50%)
o Successful implementation of the next generation of Indiana INTERNnet to maintain the
organization’s strong position as the leader in internship innovation
o Oversee staff and others to maintain a program that educates, motivates and mobilizes
business members, the education community and other community organizations to expand
experiential learning options
o Recruit employers to offer internships through the program and maintain relationships with
current/past employers who have participated with the program
o Provide “visible leadership” for program, including being available for media interviews,

Overview: The Arlington Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team this fall. This position will report to the Communications Manager to assist in planning and executing tasks to meet overall marketing and communications goals. The individual must demonstrate the ability to undertake basic writing assignments, learn and use a variety of software programs, prioritize and meet deadlines, interact professionally, and use good judgment along with discretion. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with managing the Chamber’s official website, including editing existing content, creating new content, building new webpages, reviewing webpages, and making other needed updates as instructed
  • Draft social media posts for official Chamber accounts and the Chamber’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) accounts
  • Help create and send weekly e-newsletters to the membership, along with all specialty e-newsletters and email blasts
