Department: Indiana INTERNnet (the statewide resource for internship
opportunities managed by the Indiana Chamber)

Reports To: Vice President, Engagement and Innovation Policy
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Non-Exempt (OT Eligible)
Summary:
The Executive Director of Indiana INTERNnet is responsible for overseeing all operations and business
development for the organization. This includes working with employers, students and the education
community to be the catalyst for the creation, expansion and improvement of experiential learning
programs throughout the state of Indiana.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (% of estimated time/frequency)
 Grow sustainable funding efforts to enhance the entire program including seeking grants, securing
corporate funding and developing new revenue models. Includes producing proposals and reports to
funders (50%)
 Direct and oversee the operations of Indiana INTERNnet program and staff (50%)
o Successful implementation of the next generation of Indiana INTERNnet to maintain the
organization’s strong position as the leader in internship innovation
o Oversee staff and others to maintain a program that educates, motivates and mobilizes
business members, the education community and other community organizations to
expand experiential learning options
o Recruit employers to offer internships through the program and maintain relationships
with current/past employers who have participated with the program
o Provide “visible leadership” for program-including being available for media interviews,
leading presentations about the program throughout the state, etc.
o Provide periodic reports to the Indiana INTERNnet Board of Directors and actively
interact with board members
o Oversee organizational budgets, marketing efforts, program development,
communications and the web site database system
o Build and maintain relationships with education institutions throughout the state
Nonessential Duties/Responsibilities:
This position is an employee of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and will report to both the Indiana
Chamber of Commerce’s vice president of engagement and innovation policy, as well as the Indiana
INTERNnet Board of Directors.
Job Requirements:
 Undergraduate degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, non-profit management
or a closely related field. Post-graduate degree preferred
 Experience in grant writing and fundraising
 Three to five years work experience preferred
 Preferred experience in working with and staffing a non-profit board of directors
 Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
 Ability to interpret and communicate information to a variety of community constituencies is
required
 Highly organized and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
 Familiarity with Indiana’s workforce development initiatives and organizations, higher education

Marketing & Communications Associate/Manager

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing & Communications Manager is a full-time position that reports to Executive Director of the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce. The role of this position is manage the Chamber brand, image, and external communications to drive membership, retention, a positive reputation and increased awareness of the work of the Chamber in the community.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and creates content for daily social media posts;
  • Maintains the organization’s website;
  • Creates layouts and graphics for marketing brochures and flyers;
  • Creates weekly and monthly newsletters;
  • Manages external communication and contacts in Constant Contact and reviews/manages all external communications;
  • Coordinates or responds to all incoming media requests;
  • Coordinates and plans events for the organization including but not limited to Dine & Develop and Chamber 101;
  • Sells and manages member advertisements on all Chamber platforms;
  • Manages the advertising budget for the Chamber;
  • Manages all communications interns and associates including the hiring & review process;
  • Facilitates the execution of the member retention plan;
  • Speaks at Chamber events and serves as a spokesperson for the Chamber as needed;
  • Visits with members and assists in sales of new memberships to increase impact of the org;
MINOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greets visitors in a professional manner, answer phones and screen calls;
  • Assists with other tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Candidate with a degree in marketing, communications, or graphic design preferred;
Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is required;
Familiarity with WordPress and Constant Contact is preferred;
KEY COMPETENCIES

Ability to be a self-starter and manage tasks without supervision preferred;

Manager of Talent and Education
The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce - Bloomington, IN


The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce is seeing a Manager of Talent and Education.
The Manager of Talent and Education, as well as hYPe (helping Young Professionals excel), requires excellent written and oral communications skills, as well as the ability to easily interact in a professional setting with many different community stakeholders. This position requires the individual to work along all market sectors, in addition to engaging with key business, community, education, and civic leaders. This individual must possess the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks going on at one time. This position will also be responsible for managing, recruiting, and directing a multitude of volunteers. The person will need to be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively, within a group and team setting. Project management, adhering to timelines, and handling multiple tasks of a project is of the highest importance.
The applicant must conduct himself or herself in a professional manner, acting with a high level of diplomacy, with a major focus on collaboration, creativity and problem solving. This individual will consistently interact with volunteers, board members, community leaders, education leaders and business leaders. It is advisable that this individual learn about all market sectors and ways to engage them in improving our region’s talent availability, workforce development, as well as all education initiatives, programs and events.
The position requires a strong use of technology, not limited to just Microsoft systems, but also social media and other creative ways to communicate to the mass constituency. Grant writing experience is a strong skill to have or the ability to learn how to apply for and write grants.
Education: A minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited university or college is required.
Position Type: Exempt; 40 hours per week. However, this position may require attendance or work at an early morning or evening event.
Immediate Supervisor: This position reports directly to the President and CEO of The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.
Position Overview: The Manager of Talent and Education is responsible to build, develop, and maintain key strategic partnerships and relationships within the education, government, and business communities. The key responsibility is to maintain the work, objectives, and integrity of The Franklin Initiative, The Chamber’s young professional program (hYPe), and to administer any and all new educational programs, initiatives, and events. The position should be split approximately 70% focused on Talent and Education and 30% focused on hYPe. It is a near future goal to expand this position to include an Entrepreneurship component within both the county high schools and within the business community, partnering with the area’s SBDC (Small Business Development Center).
Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage two large career fairs each year.
  • Organize Career Panels, job shadow opportunities, and guest speakers, with a big effort made to expand the Career Panels to Bloomington North and South High Schools.
  • Oversee the Reality Stores® with three (3) in the fall and one (1) in April.
  • This position will be the chief liaison between the Chamber and the young professional (hYPe) steering committee.
  • This individual will work closely with the hYPe steering group to roll out and initiate new creative programming and events for the young professionals in our community.
  • Coordinate all activities associated with and for the 10 under 40 Awards, held annually in August.
  • Work with the Chamber Board and The Franklin Initiative Chamber Board Division leader to be accountable for all measurable results of the program.
  • Utilize social media to enhance the workforce development and education efforts and accomplishments for this initiative.
  • Recruit, train and work with the many volunteers to make all programs successful.
  • Develop a profit-and-loss financial statement for The Franklin Initiative, as well as work to maintain that the integrity of the budget is being followed and maintained.
  • Look for and identify potential grants that will help to support and develop all programs affiliated with Workforce Development and Education.

The Project Manager – Marketing & Investor Services of Grow Wabash County serves as the chief Marketing, Investor/Membership Services, and Event & Program Coordinator for Grow Wabash County. Position directly reports to the President/CEO.
This position will effectively manage the marketing of the organization, as well as organize and maintain over a dozen different annual events and programs from golf outings to our annual dinner to our leadership development program. Greater Beech Grove (IN) Chamber of Commerce

The Executive Director is responsible for coordinating all Chamber activities, including but not limited to:
•Membership Development
•Marketing/PR and Sales
•Community Relations
•Board Development and long-range planning

The Executive Director is the "public relations officer" for the organization, and its primary contact for all business and member transactions. All duties are subject to the direction of the Board of Directors.

This position is part-time, 25 hours per week with no employee benefits provided.
