U.S. Women's Chamber Releases Report on Women's Economic Priorities
Today, the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce released a report on women’s economic priorities outlining current economic conditions along with federal budget and policies to support women’s economic priorities. The National Women’s Business Council released the following statement:
“The release of the U.S. Women’s Chamber report on women’s economic priorities gives us a clear indication of the contributions women have made in moving our economy forward,” says NWBC Communications Director Krystal Glass. “This is yet another resource for advocates of the women’s business community and policy makers to use as a groundwork to create innovative policies to advance economic gains for women.”
The program is seen as a training ground for future leaders, as alumni from a variety of backgrounds have stepped into roles leading nonprofits, running for public office and influencing the business community. Read more: Kansas City Business Journal

In 2011, Little Rock voters approved a sales tax measure that included $22 million for the creation of the park. This week, ARK Commercial and Investment Real Estate recommended to the tech park board five properties along Main and Scott streets in downtown Little Rock, including the KATV building at Main and Fourth, for development of the park. Waterford, Michigan Chamber of Commerce hosting luncheon to discuss Proposal 1
The Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon, Wednesday, July 16, at Bartelli’s, 100 S. Cass Lake Road, Waterford Township. The luncheon is intended to help business owners and citizens understand Proposal 1 which will be on Michigan ballots, Aug. 5.The measure would “reduce the state use tax and replace (it) with a local community stabilization share of the tax for the purpose of modernizing the tax system to help small businesses grow and create jobs in Michigan,” according to the ballot language. Minnesota Chamber of Commerce president dies
The longtime president of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce has died.David Olson died Wednesday night after struggling with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Chamber of Commerce staff confirmed his death.
