"Do you want a raise?"

Coming off a down economy when employers are slow to offer raises, it is the little things that count if you want to be rewarded. In 2013, the average worker can expect a raise of 3%. For those of you not on 100% commission, here are some tips to help you shine to win that bump in pay!

• Always come in early and prepared for work
• Keep your negative comments to yourself, project a positive attitude
• Come up with creative ideas to bring in business 
• Set your own goals and milestones
• Ask your boss how you are doing and what else you can do, ask for constructive criticism which shows you want to improve
• Volunteer for special projects - go over and above the call of duty
• Hit your goals
